Soft shell for colder climates
This softshell jacket seems to be designed for colder climates and activities. Obviously, the fact that it is a soft shell means that the jacket will be very flexible and breathable, but it seem to be providing nice amount of thermal insulation too. Probably not the best bet for situation when you might depend on your gear, like back country skiing or mountaineering, but it will be a perfect resort skiing jacket.
Pretty nice soft shell
I got this softshell for Christmas last year and it has been a staple in my gear ever since. From skiing on warmer days, to climbing in harsh conditions this jacket performs really well. Great flexibility, good breathability and it's not as loud as hard shells are. It has a great athletic fit which doesn't add much bulk and weight to my outfit, something I really like. The jacket repels water well and is easy to care for.
